babieslovefans.com is a DTC nursery ceiling fan brand operated by Fan Diego, a family-owned ceiling fan and lighting company serving Southern California since 1983. Co-founded by John and Tari Betancourt.

Every fan on this site was selected by John Betancourt based on 44 years of field experience and one standard: will it give a family years of quiet, silent operation?

## The science

A Kaiser Permanente study published in Archives of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine (2008) found that fan use during infant sleep was associated with a 68% reduction in SIDS risk. The U.S. EPA and CDC have documented that indoor air can be 2 to 100 times more polluted than outdoor air. A ceiling fan addresses both.
