We start with a free in-home assessment. One of our technicians visits your nursery, evaluates ceiling height, room dimensions, existing wiring, and discusses your preferences for size, finish, and features. No obligation. No pressure. Just answers.

Your Personal Recommendation
Based on the assessment, we recommend the right fan from our curated nursery lineup. We walk you through the options — size, finish, airflow rating, lighting features — and answer every question until you’re completely confident. Then we schedule your installation at a time that works for your family.

Installation Day
Our licensed Specialty Electric technician arrives on time, in uniform, with everything needed for a complete installation. We protect your floors and furniture, complete the work cleanly and efficiently, and walk you through the operation before we leave. Most installations take 1–2 hours. We clean up completely. You won’t know we were there — except for the fan.

Professional Installation
Your fan is installed and safety-checked by our own licensed electricians (Specialty Electric, California C-10, CSLB #1113915) — mounted secure, wired to code, balanced and quiet. No proprietary "standard" and no certificate — just a licensed pro doing it right, in San Diego County and the Coachella Valley.

Southern California’s heat peaks September through October — our busiest time of year. Plan accordingly:

2–3 days out
Great availability. Book anytime and we’ll typically be there within a few days. Ideal time to get ahead of the heat.

1–2 weeks out
Our busiest season. Southern California heat peaks and demand surges. We recommend booking 2+ weeks ahead. Don’t wait — this window fills fast.

Common questions
Do I need an existing ceiling fan or light fixture?
No. We can install where there’s an existing ceiling fan, light fixture, or junction box. In some cases we can install where there’s no existing fixture — we’ll assess this during the free visit and let you know what’s involved.
How long does installation take?
Most standard installations take 1–2 hours. If additional wiring is required it may take longer — we’ll tell you upfront during the assessment so there are no surprises on installation day.
Do I need to be home the entire time?
We ask that someone be home at the start and end. You don’t need to supervise the work — our technicians are licensed professionals who work independently. Just let us in and we’ll let you know when we’re done.
Is your team licensed and insured?
Yes. Every installation is performed by Specialty Electric, CA Contractor License #1113915, fully bonded and insured. You can verify our license at the CSLB website.
What’s included in a professional installation?
A licensed electrician mounts and wires your fan to code, balances it, tests the light and every speed, and cleans up. You get an itemized invoice and our workmanship guarantee. (No certificate — the license is the credential.)
Can you install on vaulted or sloped ceilings?
Yes, in most cases. Vaulted ceiling installations require a specific downrod and angled mounting bracket — we carry these and handle it routinely. We’ll confirm during the assessment.
